The laws of the city shall extend to uncover the walking trail in the same manner as a city park except as expressly outlined herein.

The city shall have police regulations governing the walking trail park and the chief of police and law enforcement officers of the city shall have full power to enforce city laws governing the walking trail park and shall maintain order therein.

It shall be unlawful for any person, except duly authorized city employees, to willfully or wrongfully remove, injure, tarnish, deface or destroy any walk, bench, tree or improvement or other property of any kind located in the property that encompasses the city’s walking trail park.

(a) Except as provided in subsection (b), it shall be unlawful for any person to carry or have in his or her possession any firearm, or dangerous weapon or to shoot or discharge the same within the limits of the city’s walking trail park.
(b) The provisions of subsection (a) above shall not apply to duly authorized law enforcement officers in the performance of official duty.

(a) Motor vehicles. including any vehicle licensed to operate on public streets, roads and highways or to which a license does not apply, and motorbikes, motorcycles, go carts, snowmobiles and other motorized off-the-road vehicles shall not be operated in the city walking trail park.
(b) Bicycles, skateboards, and any other two wheel or four-wheel vehicle or transportation device, which is not a motor vehicle but operated by human power are excluded from and not to be used in the city walking trail park,
(c) Subsections (a) and (b) above shall not apply to authorized city employees while engaged in the maintenance and care of the park or any vehicle motorized or unmotorized used by a physically handicapped individual for its intended purpose.

It shall be unlawful for any person to pursue, catch, trap, maim, kill, shoot or take any wildlife, either bird or animal, in any manner at any time while in the city walking trail park.

It shall be unlawful for any person to build or kindle any fire in the city walking trail park except in any grills, that may be provided for that purpose by the city and such fires must be extinguished by the person, persons or parties starting such fire, immediately after use thereof.

Overnight camping is hereby prohibited in the city walking trail park.

All waste material, paper, trash, rubbish, tin cans, bottles, containers, garbage and refuse of any kind whatsoever shall be deposited in disposable containers provided for such purposes. No such waste or contaminating materials shall be discarded otherwise No sticks, stones, trash or other objects shall be thrown or discarded in or on any city walking trail park lands.

It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to use, consume or have on the premises of the city’s walking trail park any alcoholic liquor or cereal malt beverage.

It shall be unlawful for any person, except duly authorized city employees, to take, injure, or disturb any live or dead tree, plant, shrub, or flower, or otherwise interfere with the natural state of the city walking trail park.

The city may post additional rules and regulations, as are approved by the governing body, pertaining to the use of the city walking trail park in a conspicuous place in each city park. Violation of these posted rules shall constitute a violation of this article.

It shall be unlawful for any person. except a public officer, employee or fire person in the discharge of their duties, to visit, loiter about, or be found in the city walking trail park after sunset or before sunrise on any day. The mayor shall have the authority to extend the hours of availability at any time. Any person desiring an extension shall submit the request in writing to the mayor.

Any person violating or permitting the violation of any of the provisions of this article shall upon conviction in the municipal Court be fined the sum of not more than $500.00 or by imprisonment for not more than thirty (30) days or by both such fine and imprisonment.
